We were founded in 2002 by a group of Christian woman led by Kerrin Marcon and her Mum Flo Borchers, who felt compelled to do something after hearing about the alleged gang-rape of a 9 month old baby. Researching the issue further, they came to realise the magnitude and severity of child abuse in South Africa and decided to take action.
We have a team of women based in Cape Town, South Africa who co-ordinate activities and administer funds that are raised by a team of women in Tokyo and London. All of us work on a voluntary basis juggling jobs, spouses and children.
In Cape Town we are supported by a group of part-time volunteers who pack Comfort Packs and Food Parcels every month. In Tokyo and London we pool all our resources and knowledge to raise awareness and funding.
Almost all of us are Mums who feel very fortunate with all that we have. We have been deeply moved by what we have learnt and have dedicated ourselves to this cause and we really hope we are doing something worthwhile.
